The thing I was shocked in the past!!

　　　　　　　       　

「英語に関した事」というと、
現在のｇreenleavesをこの地域にオープンする前、ECCjuniorに属していました。30代の初めの頃だったと思います。ECCjuniorで数学と英語を教えていたんですが、もともと数学がどちらかといえば好きでしたので、英会話をどこかの英会話教室に習いに行っていました。

当時、その時のカナダの先生が、とても強烈な印象に残ることを、疑問の言葉として投げかけてきました。

「日本は発展した国だ、アジアで一番（その当時、すべての面で）の国なのに、何故こんなに英語が話せないのか？」

この言葉に大変ショックを受けました。私自身日本人としてプライドを持っていたし、日本は栄えた国だと自負し、考えたことのない言葉だったからです。

しかしながら、この言葉によって深く英語を学ぶきっかけになったと思います。

When it comes to English,

I was belonging to ECC junior  before I started The Green Leaves in my area. I think it was in my early 30s. I used to teaching  math and English at that time.  To tell the truth I liked math better than English. So I learned English at the other English conversation school.

My Canadian English teacher asked us  why Japanese people can't speak English so much even though Japan is a developed country.

I was very shocked to hear what my teacher said. Because I was proud as a Japanese and I had never thought about this. I got a chance to learn English deeper by the words from my teacher.
